"We're going on a leaf hunt!"

  Today in science we were looking at different types of trees and the fact that they lose their leaves in the Autumn. Some of us were eager to share our existing knowledge of the different types of leaves that there are. From this, we decided to create a 'leaf checklist.' We gathered our clipboards and our magnifying glasses and off we went, out to the field, to find as many different leaves as we could!  Some of our more adventurous explores began singing "we're going on a leaf hunt!"

Settling In!

Hello everyone! We are having a fantastic time in Year 1 and everyone is settling in really well. We are already adapting to some of the different routines that come with being a grown up Year 1! Our favourite change is being able to have our lunch in the big hall with all of the other boys and girls. We even get to choose our own salad from the salad bar... How exciting! Here is a sneak peek at some of the fun we have been having during our lessons and choice time. Far too much fun being had in a lesson!   We definitely have some future architects in Y1! We loved making our own flowers out of different materials! Some of the tricky math our math wizards have been doing. Ask us anything about numbers 0-10!
